Melvina's 100th Birthday Portrait Session in Little Rock, AR

This 100th Birthday portrait session in Little Rock, AR was extra special because so many people in the community came together to make it extra special! It all started with a post in a Facebook Group called Little Rock Power Women. Shellie with Cottages at Otter Creek Apartments posted asking for suggestions on things for the party and the outpouring love from those that have never met her was touching! I wanted to make her day extra special and was able to gift her a portrait session.

Everyone meet Melvina! This beautiful queen doesn't look close to 100 if you ask me. Before retiring to Little Rock, AR she made Helena, AR her home. One thing that meant so much to her was education and she prides herself in that she put all 9 of her children through college. She previously worked various jobs, including McKnight Plywood, Missouri Pacific Railroad, Helena Cotton Oil Mill, and various cleaning jobs. Later she established her own successful cleaning company!
